Methodology

The Fire Detection and Alarm System includes, but is not limited to:

  •  Automatic Heat and Smoke Detectors 
  •  Fire Alarm Systems 
  •  Fire Alarm Control Panel(s) 
  •  Automatic & Manual Evacuation Alarm Subsystems 
  •  Firefighter Telephone Communication System 
  •  Manual Call Points and Alarm Devices 
  •  Audio-Visual Indicating Devices 
  •  All necessary accessories for a complete and operational life safety system 

The system shall be designed to ensure full building life safety protection with reliable monitoring and fast response capability.

The Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) with LCD display shall indicate all system status information, including:

  •  Type of alarm signal 
  •  Exact location of the alarm point 
  •  Building zone identification 
  •  System fault or emergency conditions 

Standards & Compliance

The system shall comply with the latest applicable life safety and fire protection standards, including:

National Fire Protection Association (including NFPA-72 & NFPA-101),
 Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC 2020),
 Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements,
 and other applicable international standards such as FM Global or equivalent local regulations.
